About Me
Hi there! My name’s Drew, and I’m 12. I live in Ecuador with my parents and wacky dog, Chica. We moved here in 2009 when I was 8. This is my website (obviously). Here I will blog, write short stories and chapter books (with my illustrations and photos) and there might even be a few jokes! I hope you like it!
If you are a parent, and your child likes to read, and learn in a fun\funny way I think they’ll like this site! The stories are all rated G and my parents approve everything. I’ll make a bed-time story book too. So no matter how old, kids can enjoy this site!
Do you like my site?
If you are enjoying my site, I would be thrilled if you would subscribe to my weekly newsletter. And if you really like it, you could send me a dollar or two. There is a “Donate” Button in the sidebar.
{Don’t worry – the site will always be free. But if you want to send me a couple of dollars I would be HAPPY!}

Hi Drew. Another great job.Looking forward to more.
love ya

Hi Drew,
I am from Nova Scotia too! I was born in Yarmouth. I am moving with my husband and 9 year old twins to Bahia next week! I saw that you brought your doll so I showed my daughter and that made her feel better – so thank you!
Kim
Hi Kim,
That’s awsome! I’m sure you will love it!
That doll really helped me too. It is a little expensive, but it’s really nice! I wroght a post about my move here to Ecuador. You can see it at http://www.gringosabroad.com/my-move-to-ecuador-from-the-eyes-of-an-8-year-old-canadian-girl/
And thank you for the comment!
Hi Drew,
My name is Andrea and I live in Ottawa, Ontario. My husband John and our daughter Laila are considering moving to Ecuador in about 2 1/2 years. Right now Laila is 11 and will be 13-14 years old when we move.
Right now Laila attends a public school and is in grade 6. When we move we will transition her to homeschooling. I think I read that you are homeschooled. My question for you is this:
Do you feel that you get to socialize enough with kids even though you are homeschooled? I worry that Laila will be lonely without kids her own age. She doesn’t have any siblings and is quite happy to just spend time with us but I want her to be able to do, “her own thing” with kids her own age. How did you find making friends when you first got there?
Thanks!
